There is a good chance of getting arrested for selling stolen items in Spokane.
Spokane recycling businesses have united to communicate with other recycling yards in the entire Northwest. All recycling businesses receive reports of stolen items throughout the Northwest. These reports include details of what was stolen and pictures of the suspected thieves. If someone attempts to sell stolen items at a recycle business, the police are called and respond quickly.
A "recycle lock-out list" alerts recyclers from doing business with people whose names are on that list. (Reporter Lindsay Nadrich, KREM 2 News, February 18, 2015)
