Living Green

You might not be convinced about global warming,
but you might want to do some of these things just because they will save you a lot of money.

    What You Can Do
    • The newest LED light bulbs are about 85% more efficient than incandescent bulbs.  Trying to get the same amount of energy savings just by turning off the lights would require the light to be off 85% of the time, or about 3 out of every 4 days.
    • Better fuel economy is the biggest single thing you can do for global warming.  By going from a 20 miles-per-gallon car to a 40 mpg car, drivers can save 4,500 gallons of gas over the 15-yr life cycle of the car.
    • Install insulation in your home, as well as caulking around windows and doors.
