Spokane Food For All
Catholic Charities Spokane
Established in 2002, the Food For All Farm is a project of Catholic Charities Spokane. We are an urban community farm located on the banks of the Latah Creek, in the quiet Vinegar Flats neighborhood of Spokane, Washington.
Food For All is located at 1635 W 26th Ave and we need help from both groups and individuals to work out in the fields. Volunteer tasks include weeding, harvesting, planting, and other various tasks. No prior experience is necessary to serve on the Farm. Our Farm uses sustainable agriculture techniques so we don't till or use pesticides. Generally, we accept individuals and group volunteers for 2-3 hours in the morning, but with advance notice we can be flexible.
- KERNEL Farmer's Market
KERNEL (Kids Eating Right Nutrition and Exercise for Life) program is a weekly activity at the South Perry Market that engages kids in nutrition and exercise. Each week the kids at the farmers market complete a new activity and upon completion earn two dollars to spend at the farmers market on fruits and veggies. Volunteers will assist running the booth and completing activities with the kids.
