Purpose:
Provides comprehensive support for pregnant and/or parenting young  parents with children 3 and under.

CAPA provides

Volunteer mother and father mentors;
Childbirth preparation/education classes;
Mental health counseling;
Parenting classes;
Playgroups: toddler time, support groups, New Parent Cafe;
Clothing bank with maternity and baby clothing;
Emergency diapers;
and referral and resource information.

Volunteer Opportunities:
  • Volunteer to be a non-judgmental adult mentor for a young father or mother.
  • Must be at least 26 years old, have parenting experience and pass a background check.  Mentors must be willing to make a year-long commitment of about 2 hours per week.
