To support quilting through speakers and workshops throughout the year, educational outreach, and the quilt show.

Our main charitable project is donating quilts made by our members to local charitable organizations.  In 2011, we donated 900 quilts to various local charities through our Mountain of Quilts program.

Our Mission:

(1) to promote and enhance the art of quilting and quilt making by exhibitions, lectures, and workshops offered to the organization membership and the general public;

(2) to foster the conservation and preservation of quilts and increase public awareness and appreciation of quilts through our Quilt Show.

Our quarterly meetings include a welcome from the President, a business meeting (roughly 30-40 minutes),show and tell in which members and guests share their latest works, and door prize drawings.  After a brief break, the highlight of each meeting is a presentation by our guest speaker.

Washington State Quilters, Spokane Chapter (WSQ) is a 501(c)4 non-profit incorporated in February, 1979, by 29 founding members.
Guild meetings are held quarterly on the fourth Thursday each January, April, July, and September at Center Place, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216. Choose to attend either the 1 pm or 7 pm meeting.
Entry is free to members, but non-members pay $10 at the door to help defray the costs of our speaker program. The entry fee will be applied toward the annual dues for anyone who chooses to join during the meeting.
