Purpose:
Youth development program that offers activities in education, athletics, fine arts, crafts and social recreation to young people ages 6-18.  The average attendance at the club is 140 children per day, with 7-12 year olds making up the bulk of the membership.

The Boys and Girls Club Mission is:

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.  The goal is to teach them to make good choices. Children discover positive self-identity and a moral compass, as well as educational and social skills.

Boys and Girls Club is open to every child in Spokane County, age 6-18.   This is not a daycare.  Transportation is not provided.

For $10 per year, children can participate in the many daily activities offered, in a safe, well-supervised, structured environment.   Children and staff interact by playing games together (foosball, pool…), reading books, or just chatting about their days.  There are computers in the technology center, art supplies in the Art Room, and homework supervision in the Discovery Center.
Volunteer Opportunities:
  • Volunteers are needed to assist program staff with the arts, technology, education and career development, health and life skills, character and leadership development, sports, fitness, and recreation.
  • The Club is also seeking donors to purchase fresh milk each day for the children.
