Volunteer Opportunities:

Master Composters & Recyclers

The Master Composters & Recyclers volunteer group teaches residents to reduce, reuse and recycle materials in their solid waste stream. It is sponsored by the Spokane Regional Solid Waste System (SRSWS).

Each spring, new volunteers attend a series of free training sessions. Upon completion, they are asked to perform 40 hours of service during the next year by representing SRSWS at various public events.

There are a limited number of spaces available in the training classes; sign-up is first come, first served. For more information on the Master Composters & Recyclers program, go to http://www.solidwaste.org/sub06c6.php?id=5124 or call the Recycling Hot Line at 625-6800.
