Parent To Parent
(a program of the ARC of Spokane)
Parents of children with disabilities are matched with trained, experienced parents of children with similar disabilities. We also provide support and referrals to community resources.
We provide monthly support group meetings, sib shops (sibling support), a monthly newsletter, and special events/workshops throughout the year.
For parents who have recently learned that their son/daughter has a developmental disability, it's hard to know what to expect. That's why The Arc's Parent to Parent program offers Helping Parents, experienced mothers and fathers who can offer resources, advice or just a listening ear. To learn more about becoming a Helping Parent, contact Jessy Smith at (509) 328-6326 or jsmith@arc-Spokane.org.
