Fields of Diamonds House of Blessings
This is a Christian South Hill transitional home which provides a safe place for abused women and children.
Many women who are released from prison feel they have no place to go but back to their former environment. This home houses up to 6 women and children at a time.
The goal is to teach women how to become self-sufficient by facilitating job training, parenting classes and support systems. The goal is to have the women also leave with a vehicle, a place to live, furniture and options for their futures.
Women are allowed to live in the home for 6 months to a year, as long as they are working or going to school. This program works because woman are allowed to stay for this extended period of time.
Church attendance is mandatory.
- This house was donated by a benefactor. Since it is not government-funded, it will take a lot of help and support from the community to make the Fields of Diamonds House successful.
- Support our Dress for Success clothing bank for women moving to employment.
