Tree of Sharing

The Tree of Sharing provides holiday gifts to thousands of low-income children, women and men in the Spokane community. Gifts donated to the Tree of Sharing are distributed to dozens of community service agencies that serve a broad cross-section of our community from infants to the disabled and the elderly.

The Tree of Sharing is a project
of the Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ.  KREM TV has supported the Tree of Sharing since 1982, which is an entirely volunteer-run organization.  Asuris Northwest Health is the major sponsor of the Tree of Sharing.

Gift tags are available
until about a week before Christmas.

2013 Tree of Sharing
runs from November 22 to December 12.

What You Can Do:

Here is how the Tree of Sharing works.
  • Tree of Sharing booths are setup at 3 Spokane malls:  Northtown Mall, River Park Square (first level), and the Spokane Valley Mall.  Tree of Sharing tags and gifts are also available at the White Elephant.
  • Shoppers pick up a gift tag at any of these locations. It will have a brief description of the gift request and the gift recipient.  For instance, you may see a tag for a 70-year-old man who needs mittens.
  • The shopper then takes the tag, buys the mittens, and returns the mittens to any of the Tree of Sharing locations.  That present goes to the agency, which distributes the gift to the 70-year old man.
