CHRISTMAS BUREAU 2017

Since 1945, the Christmas Bureau
has been providing holiday assistance for those in need in Spokane and
the surrounding communities. The program, funded by donations from
businesses and individuals, offers grocery store gift certificates for
adults, and books and toys for children. The Christmas Bureau is
coordinated by Volunteers of America, Catholic Charities Spokane, and The Spokesman Review
is provided to anyone who feels the need; there are no income
recipients need to bring information to document
household members. Adult recipients must bring:
1) photo identification,
2) proof of current address (such as a
recent rent receipt, utility bill, phone bill, etc.), and
3) proof of age and address for any children living in their household
(such as a document from DSHS, other social services agency, or
For Children, bring:
1) something from their school or daycare for each child living at that address, showing their name, address and birth date, or
2) a document from DSHS or other social service agency verifying name, address and date of birth, or
3) a WIC folder.
