Northwest Opera's 7th season
opens with The Threepenny Opera,
written by Bertolt Brecht and music by Kurt Weill.

Through the love story of Polly Peachum, daughter of the "King of the Beggars" and "Mack the Knife" Macheath, the "biggest criminal in London," this timely, sordid yet beautiful slice of London slum-life satirizes bourgeois society enhanced by plaintive, edgy, opera-meets-music hall melodies.
