Children

  • Baby-Sit.  Volunteer to help care for children in your family, neighborhood, relatives, or through an organization.
  • Babysitting Kits.  Entertain the children you tend by making a babysitting kit filled with interesting items to learn and play with.  Gather supplies like simple crafts, games, toys, and coloring books.  Do these activities with the children, and the kids will love spending time with you.
  • Babysitting Classes.  Girls and boys ages 10 to 15 may attend one of the local Babysitting Basics classes.   The workshops cover many child-care topics, such as infant and toddler care, infant feeding including baby bottles and formula, changing diapers, safety, first aid, and activity ideas.
  • Be a Great Babysitter:
    • Keeping children safe is most important!
    • Donít talk to your friends on the phone.
    • Donít watch TV and ignore the kids.
    • Donít do your homework until after the kids are in bed.
    • Donít be a SNOOP!
