Handmade Items

  • Artwork.  Make cards or crafts for home-bound seniors, those in nursing homes, people who are sick in hospitals, servicemen and women, etc.  We enjoy our talents the most when we can share them with others.
  • Bookmarks.  Get permission to make bookmarks to hand out to people in libraries, at school, or elsewhere.  The bookmarks can simply be nice to look at, or they can have a special message on them, like… “Don’t Litter,” “Read to a Child,” ”Register to Vote,” or “Find Someone to Help Today.”
  • Blankets and Quilts.  Learn to knit, crochet, quilt, or sew fleece blankets—and then share your talents.  Give the item you made to children who are sick, the elderly, or people who are homeless.  Children’s hospitals often want blankets for infants, children and teens.
