Building and Maintenance Skills (donate)
What You Can Do
  • Skilled labor.  Use your building skills to help improve our community.  Find a need, and fill it.

  • Unskilled labor.   Although there is a great need for skilled technicians, unskilled workers can also help haul building materials around a work site, paint, sweep, hammer, cut wood, provide food and water for the workers, make phone calls, purchase materials, clean up the work area, and perform other essential activities.  Volunteers may participate as much or as little as their schedule allows.

  • Construct or repair playground equipment at a school or park.

  • Help build sets for a local theater.

  • Build picnic tables for a park.

  • Build park benches for a cemetery.

  • Ask permission to construct a quality “Welcome to Washington” sign on the small raised ground near the State line, to welcome people driving from Idaho to Spokane.

  • Build or repair trail signs and picnic tables for area parks and campgrounds.

  • Build garden benches for nursing homes.

  • Build or repair shelves for food pantries.

  • Help renovate a house for a needy person, family, charity, or a worthy group.
